At the Lab, this year is all about community and we want to get YOU involved whether you’re actively training in the lab, on the road or taking a brief hiatus. We will be posting monthly challenges for you to participate in. Record and post on social media as well as posting your results in the comments below. With no further a-due, here is the first challenge to kick off 2025, your most successful year yet!
Challenge #1: "Max Reps Madness"
Objective: Each participant must complete as many repetitions as possible of a designated exercise within a given time frame.
Instructions:
Choose a compound body weight exercise: Squats, Push-ups, or Pull-ups.
Participants have 5 minutes to complete as many reps as possible with proper form.
Before starting, everyone must warm up thoroughly to prevent injuries.
Record the number of completed reps for each participant.
The one with the highest number of reps wins the challenge.
Rules:
Proper form is essential. Incomplete or improper reps won't count.
Each participant can participate in all exercise challenges. Don’t complete simultaneously.
The challenge must be completed during the month of January. You can attempt as many times as you’d like.
No use of assistance equipment (e.g., resistance bands or weight belts) is allowed.
